what does the tab mean "add to so and so's reputation"?

It's the 'original' way of giving rep to someone, which is how 98% of the vbulletin boards work on the internet...the reason we don't use it anymore is cause the Thank You system was installed and whenever you thank someone it automatically gives em a rep point. You can check how many rep points you have in your UserCP as well as well the latest rep you received...the more rep you have the more green bars you get.

o, it also differs in that you can give someone negative rep with that button as well as leave a custom comment.
